General health and fitness
Everything about Highlander Strength and Fitness is set up to help you reach your goals. From the way your membership is structured to the way your training sessions are designed. The equipment we use, the training atmosphere, the emotional support, the technical coaching and the positive expectation of your success. Everything we do is by design and is all done to ensure you reach your goals. I combine the best current training and nutrition methods into a clear, focussed plan to get you the best possible results in the shortest possible time.Unlike other gyms, we really care that you get what you came for!
I constantly read about and test out new ideas so my methods are always evolving to keep pace with the best in the industry. I currently employ a lot of non competing muscle group resistance circuits in low to mid rep ranges to enable the development of strength and cardiovascular fitness at the same time and have had great results with these methods. I also like to use therapeutic prehabilitation circuits with foam rolling and active stretching to improve client's posture, mobility and reduce the risk of injury.
Small group personal training
Small group PT is the main type of training I offer. You may have read a lot about the value of personal training; small group personal training is better than personal training, and it's cheaper too. These sessions are held with a maximum of 6 people in each group. It is 'personal training' because I can give you all the coaching and attention you need, but it is also 'small group', meaning clients also benefit from the cameraderie and support gained from training in a group. The people training with you will be training for the same reasons, and the encouragement you'll get from your fellow members will make all the difference. This isn't coming into a gym by yourself, feeling awkward and not knowing what to do. This is a welcoming atmosphere with an expert coach and supportive people to train with.
All new members get a one week free trial, so why not come along and try it for yourself and see what I mean?
Bootcamp training
If you're looking for a high-quality training session to start your day right this is what you're looking for! I offer bootcamp sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6.45am-7.30am. The bootcamps have a maximum of 15 people but are still structured in a way that allows me to provide you with the coaching you need on the exercises you are doing. Sessions are mixed so you can train with your husband/wife/brother/sister if you'd like! You can start any time (no need to wait for a training block to end).
